KINGSTON, Jamaica – The obligatory three-year-old maiden contest is the second event on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
Only six horses have been nominated to start in this quick five-furlongs round sprint.
Below is the assessment.
1 – RISKY BID is a bay filly (January 19) by Blue Pepsi Lodge out of Zensational. This filly’s last seven runs of eight have been over the straight course. Now, going on the round route, with no hint of form, Risky Bid cannot be chosen in this contest.
2 – J J KING is a chestnut colt (March 26) by Urban King out of She Knows Best trained by Renex Burrell. Note, J J King races with the figure eight off. A young one with three starts to his credit. With only six starters, J J King will earn, not in the top four.
3 – BLUE PERSUASION is a bay filly (April 11) by Takeover Target out of Big Towner trained by Michael Marlowe with Javaniel Patterson aboard. Note, Blue Persuasion races with the visor on. A relative newcomer who should fear better against lesser rivals.
4 – FRIENDOFTHEFAMILY is a grey gelding (April 27) trained by Steven Todd with Anthony Thomas aboard. This well-experienced gelding has had the benefit of 11 starts and can use this experience to his benefit.
5 – MICKEY C is a grey colt (April 11) by Savoy Stomp out of Miss Lee. Even against much weaker opponents, Mickey C is going to find it difficult to conquer.
6 – GIVEMETHELIGHT is a grey colt (March 9) by Nasheet out of Skipping Sue trained by Gary Griffiths with Nicholas Hibbert aboard. Givemethelight enters with some amount of form, therefore has a good chance of winning.
