3-YEAR-OLDS: EXPECT A DRINK OF WHISKY IN SUNDAY’S MAIDEN CONTEST

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The quest by many three-year-old maidens to relieve themselves of the tag continues on Sunday, October 17, 2022.

Nine three-year-olds face the starter at seven furlongs.

THE QUICK GALLOPER has taken a look at these nine runners with the analysis offered below.

1 – ASURETY is a chestnut gelding (March 9) by Perfect Curlin out of Sure To Come. A major disappointment thus far, with his status remaining the same on Sunday.

2 – SARGE IN CHARGE is a bay gelding (March 12) by Nasheet out of Aunt Hilda. Sarge In Charge races with the figure eight on. Sarge In Charge will not provide a threat.

3 – GIMMETHELIGHT is grey colt (March 9) by Nasheet out of Skipping Sue. Has shown improved form in his last two outings. Gimmethelight is in with a chance of winning and will be assisted by an increase in real estate.

4 – WHISKY is a bay colt (April 29) by Savoy Stomp out of Raise Your Voice. In his last start of three (September 24) thus far, Whisky demonstrated his progress by finishing third over a mile behind Traditional Lady and Don Vincenzo. The reduction in the trip on Sunday furnishes Whisky with the right opportunity of getting off the mark. Note, that Whisky races with the visor off and the tongue tie on.

5 – CALL THE EMPEROR is a bay gelding (April 1) by Emperor Hall out of Call For A Cat. Has been around, but needs more time. Note, that Secret Emperor races with the blinkers off, and the figure eight on.

6 – JOE is a chestnut colt (April 21) by Legal Process out of Lady Jameela. Way off the rest of this pack.

7 – ANCHORMAN is a bay colt (February 27) by Soul Warrior out of Bitter End. Has produced consistent efforts in recent times. With valuable experience gained, Anchorman is given every chance of winning.

8 – SNEAKY JOE is a bay colt (April 29) by Sensational Slam out of Distinctly Natural. Note, that Sneaky Joe races with the visor off. Can be left out of the reckoning.

9 – TRUE RYLIE is a bay filly (May 6) by Savoy Stomp out of Go Flint Go. This filly has not ignited any interest in his six starts to date.
