KINGSTON, Jamaica – The final race on the Saturday card of August 27, is a three-year-old (non-winners of two) contest going the distance of six furlongs.
Twelve horses are entered with THE QUICK GALLOPER doing the analyses on all the starters.
-SIR TAJAY is a bay colt (April 15) by Traditional out of Lastochka trained by Steven Todd with Richard Byrd aboard. Has been in and out since reaching non-two with six efforts to his name in the grouping. Faces a tough brunch of rivals with winning an unlikely possibility.
– LEGAL BOMB is a chestnut colt (February 26) by Legal Process out of Fantasy trained by Patrick Lynch with Jerome Innis aboard. This colt is finding his way at non-winners of two and needs more time. Note, Legal Bomb races with the blinkers on.
– BROMPTON ALEX is a chestnut gelding (April 13) by Lion Tamer out of Peccadillo trained by Ryan Darby with Oneil Mullings aboard. Since his victory on February 6, Brompton Alex has not improved to be given a chance in this one.
– GET A PEPSI is a chestnut colt (March 13) by Blue Pepsi Lodge out of Getupstandup trained by Errol Burke with Shane Richardson aboard. Get A Pepsi is trying to find his way in non-two after releasing the maiden tag on June 19. That learning curve is continuing.
– MILA’S ALL THAT is a chestnut filly (February 3) by Bern Identity out of Salty Talk trained by Fernando Geddes with Javaniel Patterson aboard. Mila’s All That has not caught the eye in her three efforts at this level. She has speed, which usually dissipates in the final furlong of her races. Expect the same on Saturday. Note, Mila’s All That races with the blinkers on and the cheek pieces off.
– WOWTASTIC is a bay filly (February 20) by Perfect Curlin out of Sarah Barracuda trained by Anthony Nunes with Dick Cardenas aboard. This well-bred filly won her first race 20 days ago (August 7) and now races at the non-two level for the first occasion. Wowtastic faces seasoned campaigners and with time will win in this grade.
– SILENT MISSION is a bay filly(May 1) by Savoy Stomp out of Lady Mandi trained by Jason DaCosta with Anthony Thomas aboard. Tried her luck in the 10-furlong Jamaica Oaks and was summarily dispatched. Silent Mission returns to her own playing field and with the distance of six furlongs fitting her style, she has every chance of recording her second victory.
– BABYLIKE is a dark bay filly (May 1) by Savoy Stomp out of Ladylike trained by Philip Feanny with Dane Dawkins aboard. Babylike has been close on her last two outings in non-two. Trainer Feanny has called on the services of the leading rider which is a rarity. Babylike is coming to run. Note, Babylike races with the tongue tie off.
– LAST BID is a bay colt (May 4) by Soul Warrior out of Circle The Heart trained by Gary Griffiths with Christopher Mamdeen aboard. Won his first race 26 days ago and takes on tough rivals in this one. Should learn from this first experience.
– AAVA JAELYN is a chestnut filly (March 20) by Tapilu out of BoogyWoogyPrincess trained by Donovan Thompson with Roger Hewitt aboard. Cannot manage these yet. Note, Aava Jaelyn races with the blinkers on and first-time Lasix.
– DEVONTE is a grey colt (April 8) by Fearless Vision out of Eighteen Karat trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster aboard. Devonte was withdrawn with the cause given as lame when last nominated to race on August 6. Devonte will have to be caught even given the fact that this is his first outing in the class.
– GREAT TRICK is a bay colt (March 20) by Casual Trick out of Great Faith trained by Gary Subratie with Raddesh Roamn aboard. Has no realistic chance of winning. Note, Great Trick races with the visor off and the tongue tie on.
