KINGSTON, Jamaica – Thirteen horses are entered in the final event on the Saturday program of November 5, 2022.
This race will be run over 6 ½ furlongs, for three-year-olds, non-winners of two for locally bred horses, and a maiden for three-year-old foreigners.
The 13 horses are each assessed by THE QUICK GALLOPER.
– ONE LIKE IT is a chestnut colt (January 28) by Deputy Glitters out of Sandbath. Note, One Like It races with the visor off. After being consistent for most of his eight starts, One Like It put in a clinker four weeks ago. Returns refreshed and ready for action.
– DESHA is a chestnut filly (February 21) by Nuclear Wayne out of Princess Sallema. Has not yet caught on to this grouping but will benefit from the trip reduction. Cannot be denied a real chance of making it win number two.
– WHISKY is a bay colt (April 29) by Savoy Stomp out of Raise Your Voice. Enters non-winners of two for the first time, and having just lost his maiden status, will have to wait.
– NEFERTARI is a bay filly (March 22) by Savoy Stomp out of Princess Geeta. Came home strongly on last (7 days), but is problematic at the starting gates. This issue has affected Nefertari progress. If she reports calm and focussed on racing, then Nefertari will be a factor.
– FREEDOM STREET is an imported in-utero bay gelding (April 17) by Uncaptured out of Nofashionsense. Freedom Street has finished third, third, and second in his three non-winners of two runs. On Saturday, the chances of Freedom Street are further enhanced by the presence of Shane Ellis in the saddle.
– SHE’S MY FRIEND is a bay filly (May 10) by Natural Selection out of My Friend Lucy. Makes her first appearance in non-winners of two, and will need the experience.
– AAVA JAELYN is a chestnut filly (March 20) by Tapilu out of Boogywoogyprincess. Not ready for a winning run.
– STOMP THE RHYTHM is a bay gelding (May 21) by Savoy Stomp out of River Rhythm. Note, Stomp The Rhythm races with the blinkers off. Stomp The Rhythm has performed encouragingly in his three non-winners of two efforts to date. The distance is to his liking as well.
– WOWTASTIC is a bay filly (February 20) by Perfect Curlin out of Sarah Barracuda. Another step on the learning curve for Wowtastic.
– JOE is a chestnut colt (April 21) by Legal Process out of Lady Jameela. Got off the mark 14 days ago, and now makes his entry into non-two to gather further experience.
– JUSTIN BIDEN is a chestnut gelding (April 15) by Lion Tamer out of Wagon Wheel. Has done well in his two outings at this grade but will have to wait.
– AWESOME PRINCE is a bay colt (May 8) by Vancouver out of Awesome Lucy. Awesome Prince is slowly coming to grips with non-two.
– NOBLE IMPULSE is a chestnut colt (June 26) by Midnight Hawk out of Herroyalhighness. Noble Impulse has been putting in good shifts at this level and having a clear passage from the outside draw, plus his known speed will have him in contention. Noble Impulse’s only issue is the distance, as this is the first time he will be trying a route longer than six furlongs.
