Clocks 1:28.3 for seven furlongs
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Outbidder a bay filly by Savoy Stomp out of Rumble continued her preparation for the upcoming Classic preps with another noteworthy performance in the Caymanas Saturday eighth.
Racing in a three-year-old non-winners of two contest going seven furlongs, named after champion owner Carlton Watson, Outbidder notched her second win from three career starts.
Eight horses were nominated to face the starter with US bred Luksol (Jerome Innis), like Outbidder trained by Jason DaCosta, setting the early splits two to three lengths ahead of Outbidder.
After three and a half furlongs were completed Anthony Thomas on board Outbidder decided to make his move and by the time they entered the straight, the stable companions were locked together.
Then Outbidder demonstrated some of her ability by picking up the gallop – streaking away to win by 8 ½ lengths in a time of 1:28.3. Luksol held for second, with Rainsville (Oneil Mullings) third.
