KINGSTON, Jamaica – The winning 2022- 2000 Guineas winning combination of owner M N M Stables, jockey Raddesh Roman, and trainer Patrick Lynch was in the winners’ enclosure again, this time with Charmin Beauty in the Caymanas Saturday (June 11) first.
Racing in a four-year-old and upwards maiden condition call at 5 ½ furlongs, Charmin Beauty defeated Nyla The Dancer by a short-head with 18-1 chance Six Avenue third. The final time was 1:10.1 with splits of 24.2 x 48.4.
It was Bubbly Girl (Jordan Barrett), who led the field of nine runners, followed by Blue Seas (Natalie Berger) with Charmin Beauty racing comfortably in fifth place.
At the top of the lane, it was still Bubbly Girl with the advantage, then Roman brought Charmin Beauty forward to grab the lead but had to dig deep to thwart the late surge of Nyla The Dancer.
