KINGSTON, Jamaica – The first race on the Saturday card of November 5, 2022, sees eight juveniles heading to the starting gates in a 5 ½ - furlong maiden contest.
THE QUICK GALLOPER’S report on the eight starters is provided below.
1 – WHIZZ KID is a bay colt (April 19) by Northern Giant out of Mayken Joy trained by Jason DaCosta with Robert Halledeen aboard. Whizz Kidd has quickly become the most experienced of this year’s two-year-old lot with five starts. In those five starts, Whizz Kidd has hit the board, with another such effort awaiting. A STRONG EXACTA PROPOSITION.
2 – SHOAMITHEBUTCHER is a bay filly (February 28) by Nnuclear Wayne out of Asia’s Dream trained by Patrick Fong with Paul Francis aboard. This newcomer is slowly coming along in the mornings; will find her way. On Tuesday, October 4, Shoamithebutcher galloped five furlongs in a time of 1:04.0. Then on October 15, she galloped out of the straight with the last four furlongs clocked in 51.2 seconds. WILL WAIT FOR HER FIRST RUN.
3 – LIFE IS LIFE is a bay colt (February 18) by Natural Selection out of Little Wasp trained by Jason DaCosta with Anthony Thomas aboard. This colt has been consistent in his three starts to date. Another placing effort is expected.
4 – PIGGLIE WIGGLIE is a bay filly (April 2) by Conquest Cherimash trained by Patrick Fong with Dick Cardenas aboard. Note, Pigglie Wigglie races with the blinkers on. Needs more experience.
5 - LAMBO GIRL is a chestnut filly (April 12) by Admiral Alex out of Absolute Justice trained by Wilfred Chin with Christopher Mamdeen aboard. Note, Lambo Girl races with the blinkers and tongue tie on. Learning her trade.
6 – SHE’S MYHEDGEFUND is a chestnut filly (March 3) by Hedge Fund out of Thisgirlisonfire trained by Jason DaCosta with Dane Dawkins aboard. Note, She’s Myhedgefund races with first-time Lasix. Shows up prominently in the early part of her two races thus far, then fades away. Getting to know the racing game.
7 – BOOTYLICIOUS is a bay filly (February 4) by Key To Power out of Keep The Faith trained by Ian Parsard with Reyan Lewis aboard. This first-timer has caught the eyes at exercise. Said to possess speed. On Tuesday, October 18, Bootylicious galloped six furlongs (easy) in 1:16.0. On Wednesday, October 26, this bay filly strode five furlongs in 1:07.0 second. On Sunday, October 30, she galloped 5 ½ furlongs in 1:07.2 seconds.
8 – PRINCESS TALISE is a bay filly (April 17) by Savoy Stomp out of Dancing Queen trained by Lawrence Freemantle with Javaniel Patterson aboard. Has shown speed in her two outings to date. Princess Talise has a good chance of hitting the board.
